By: Adriel Reveles La Querencia, a restaurant located in Tijuana about 5 minute drive from the U..S. border. La Querencia is not your typical Mexican restaurant, carne asada and fish tacos! When one stands outside this restaurant, one might think it is a modern style facade of Mexican restaurant. Inside it is more of rustic cabin with trophy animals such as ducks and deer with a modern twist. This restaurant specializes in Baja-Med cuisine a concept that fuses oriental and Mediterranean cuisines with regional land and sea ingredients along with mix of Mexican flavors and spices. Its menus offers carpaccios ( thinly sliced meat, fish , and vegetables) , tacos & burritos, salads, baguette sandwiches, and many others.
It’s full range specialty dishes include abalone chorizo , oyster, rabbit, manta-ray, venison sausage, marinated duck tacos or burritos. Perhaps you might want to try the freshly sliced zucchini carpaccio sprinkled with capers, onion, tomato, cilantro, local cheese, olive or chili oil, and other herbs. If you want to go out of the ordinary try this place!
